Hi my name is Denise Gunderson, proud parent of 2 students at Faith Lutheran. I brought my son to Pre-K with the intention of staying for the year and then starting him in our neighborhood school for Kindergarten and beyond, that was 5 years ago, needless to say we love it at Faith, my son is now starting 3rd grade and my daughter is starting 1st grade. We can't imagine being anywhere else. The teachers are wonderful, they love our children and it shows. The fact that my children pray and learn about the Lord is more important to me than words can say. We will be here as long as they will have us! - Denise GundersonChildren in 1st and 3rd grades I put my kids in Faith Lutheran for several reasons. There is nothing better than to hear your child; tell you that they are most thankful for Jesus. They learn to be kind and love one another. They are getting an amazing education and are able to focus their lives on God at the same time. The kids at Faith Lutheran do not put each other down; everyone is included and knows that they are special. The teachers are all excellent with the kids and keep them learning and excelling. They truly love the children and make sure that every single one of them is getting the education that they need. The classrooms are small so there is time to give the students help and guidance in what they are working on. I feel so blessed to have my two kids attend Faith Lutheran; I would not have it any other way. - Jennifer BacheChildren in 1st and 4th grades My 5th grade son spent his first 4 years of school in a public school. I moved him over to Faith for 4th grade, and now at the beginning of his 5th grade year, he is doing fantastic in school, my friends and family are always commenting on how much his behavior has changed for the better in this last year. I am constantly receiving glowing comments from our church family about my son's knowledge of the Bible and of our Lord. The teachers are so fantastic; I can't wait till my youngest is old enough to start school at Faith Lutheran. - Edee CornettSon in 5th grade It goes without saying that one of the reasons my daughter attends Faith Lutheran is because of the top-notch education she is receiving. But it goes a lot further than that. It is the fact that my daughter has the luxury and the right to tell a soldier she will remember him in her prayers. She can tell a soldier that God will watch over him while he's in Iraq. When our pet ferret died, my daughter was heartbroken. Her class prayed with her. When a fellow classmate's mom underwent knee surgery, the class prayed for her. Last year, I received a note from the teachers, saying they were praying for me and my family that week. It just happened to be a stressful time in my life, and getting that note - and knowing that this staff cared about our family - made me cry. We wouldn't have these experiences at public school. - Christa CastanonDaughter in 3rd grade |
