Choose a classroom...
For a specific teacher, you can:
  • Transport and supervise on field trips
  • Help with parties and other classroom events
  • Help with a classroom art project
  • Redecorate bulletin boards
  • Grade papers (we love parents who are willing to get all of their hours this way! It's easier when there is consistency and practice.)
  • Prepare project materials at home (cut out shapes, make craft dough, etc.)
For the school at large, you can:
  • Mow the lawn
  • Help maintain the baseball field
  • Take care of gardens
  • Rake wood chips on the playground
  • Pump playground balls (PLEASE!)
  • Fix computer issues (tell us who you are, if this is your expertise!)
  • Work on our printer cartridge recycling program
  • Work in the library (shelving books, etc.)
  • Handle our Campbell's Soup label program
  • Redecorate the school office bulletin boards
  • Quiz students on our Passport Club testing days (mornings, once per month)
  • Attend monthly Partners in Education (P.I.E.) meetings (1 hour granted for each meeting)
  • Work on P.I.E. fundraisers (promoting, assembling materials, etc.)
  • Attend monthly "Men of Faith" meetings. (For our men, these are held the 2nd Saturday of each month, 7 a.m. - noon. Church and school men have breakfast and Bible study, and then do repair and maintenance work on the facilities. Ask for more information.)
  • Help with Chess Club
  • Work at the October Harvest Carnival
  • Accompany the children, on an instrument, for musical performances. Can you play piano or guitar while the students sing?
